The Atlantic Immigration Program was initially introduced as a pilot program to bring more foreign skilled professionals but later it became a permanent pathway. The program is exclusively available for New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and Labrador and Nova Scotia only.
Atlantic Immigration Program – How to become eligible?
1- Must have a legitimate job offer from an employer in any Atlantic Province
2- Must have worked for a minimum of one year in NOC TEER 0,1,2,3, or 4 with 1,560 hours
3- You need at least one-year post-secondary qualification, if your job offer is in NOC TEER 1 or 0
4- You need a minimum high-school diploma qualification, if your job offer is in NOC TEER 2 3, or 4,
5- Language requirements are CLB 5 For NOC TEER 0,1,2 or 3 and CLB 4 for NOC TEER 4
6- Must have settlement funds of minimum CAD 3,439 (single person), CAD4,281 (Family of 2), CAD 5,263 (family of 3) for Canada Immigration.
Atlantic Immigration Program – Step-by-step process?
1- Meet the eligibility requirements of this Canada PNP pilot route
2- Obtain a legitimate job agreement from an employer in the Atlantic Province
3- Receive Certificate of Endorsement (Employer needs to apply to the province)
4- Arrange all your documents (Language Tests, ECA, Proof of funds, Job Offer, CoE & Settlement plan)
5- Create an account in the CIC portal and fill out forms (IMM 0008, 5669, 5406, & 5562)
6- Pay the application fee of CAD 950
7- Submit the final application and wait for the decision
